Bonnie & Alan Cohen Memorial Fund for Carolyn Gordon
Established by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Alan Cohen

Over the years so many people have asked,
“Is there anything I can do for you?”

I am now reaching out to you with a personal request.

My goal is to have 1,000 people participate in her memorial fund. The amount you donate is not as important to me as the fact that you care.

If you have already donated, I am forever grateful.

Thank you for being part of the mitzvah,

Bonnie

The Cohen family is well-known throughout Jerusalem for their home hospitality, warmth and generosity. Bonnie Cohen is an integral part of EYAHT and is not only a long-time student, but also serves as the International Board Chairwoman. Throughout their years living in David’s Village near the Old City of Jerusalem, they have hosted thousands of students and guests for Shabbos meals and after-meal gatherings. Many of the people who spent time in their home were also fortunate enough to meet Bonnie’s mother, Carolyn Gordon.

Unfortunately, on May 19th 2004, the world lost a very special soul when Bonnie’s mother passed away. A woman who illuminated all who met her, Carolyn Gordon was a beautiful role model and inspiration.

Bonnie and Alan decided there was no better way to honor her life and her memory than through enabling young Jewish women to learn about their beautiful heritage through learning at EYAHT & other Aish women’s learning programs. With this in mind, they have established the Carolyn Gordon Memorial Fund.

Donations to the fund will be a benefit to the givers, to the students who will be able to learn, and to her mother's soul, which is further elevated with each good deed done on her behalf.

Carolyn Gordon was blessed with 88 years of life and love. Carolyn was a woman who lived life to the fullest, with no concept of age or restrictions in terms of what was possible. She proved that it is never too late to change. In her late 70’s she made her kitchen kosher and took upon herself the observance of many mitzvahs, serving as an inspiration not only to her family, but to all those who were blessed to know her.

We want to help perpetuate the memory of Carolyn Gordon and continue her influence through the generation of students that will be able to learn in her merit.
