Practical
Information:
Tuition Policy:
Tuition at EYAHT is $700 per month.
If a student should encounter significant financial difficulties, it may be possible to arrange a non interest bearing student loan for a portion of that sum. A minimum payment of $100 per month is expected throughout the period a student spends at EYAHT. Repayment of any student loan, at a rate of $100 per month, begins six months after a student finishes her studies.
Any inquiries concerning tuition should be directed to admissions@eyaht.com.
Flight Scholarship Opportunity:
Students wishing to enroll at EYAHT for a minimum of three weeks may be eligible to apply for a flight scholarship through the Jeff Seidel AW Scholarship Fund. After submitting your application to EYAHT, you must click here to fill out a separate application if you intend to apply for this scholarship.
Living
Arrangements:
Students are housed in shared-living apartments within close
proximity to the school building. Every effort is made
by Rebbetzin Weinberg and Mrs Stefansky, the Aim Bayit (dorm
mother), to cater to students' individual needs, to ensure
that they are comfortable and feel at home during their stay
at the school.
EYAHT is located in a Torah-observant
community. This location enables Rebbetzin Weinberg, who
lives across the street, to minimize her time away from both
her family and her students. The people in the community
are most honored to have EYAHT women in their midst, and
students often receive invitations to their homes.
Laundry:
A coin-operated washing machine and dryer is available for the students' laundry
needs.
Computer:
A computer and printer are available for students' word-processing
needs. The student computer also allows access to
the EYAHT and Aish HaTorah websites. Upon arrival at the
school, students may apply for an 'EYAHT' email account,
through which they may send and receive emails.
Meals:
EYAHT has two kitchens (one for parve/dairy and one for meat) in which students
are free to prepare their own meals. Basic grocery items such as
fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, grains, cereals, eggs and
tinned items are provided for the students' use by the school. EYAHT
also provides a hot lunch every day, courtesy of "Chef Hershel" from
Aish HaTorah. Consideration is given to vegetarians and those with
other special dietary needs. Two supermarkets and a 'makolet' (convenience
store) are within close walking distance of the school.
Smoking:
We ask that all students refrain from smoking indoors.
Attire:
There is no dress code at EYAHT. However, students are requested
to show respect for the Rabbis by wearing modest attire
during their specific classes.
Shabbos:
Students are encouraged to experience Shabbos in a variety
of settings.
› Shabbos placements: Mrs.
Stefansky can arrange for students to share an entire
Shabbos or a meal with families in Jerusalem.
›
Shabbatonim: Throughout the year, students
are invited to participate in "Shabbatonim" at
EYAHT or in various communities in Israel. EYAHT's
Shabbatonim give students the opportunity to
be together for an entire Shabbos and to become
acquainted with other communities. Students share
Divrei Torah (short speeches about Torah subjects)
and enjoy singing traditional Shabbos songs.
Rebbetzin Weinberg often joins the students at
Shabbatonim.
Holiday
Programs, Special Events and Presentations:
EYAHT presents Chanukah and Purim programs to the women of
Jerusalem. These programs offer a forum for women at EYAHT
to display their talents, as they design presentations that
include singing, dancing and acting. EYAHT also hosts Melava
Malkas, which take place for its students from time to time
on Saturday nights. In addition to refreshments, the students
prepare a program in which female faculty, neighbors and friends
are welcome to participate.
Trips:

Safed Spiritual Retreat--Mandatory Trip: During
the spring, EYAHT students go to the beautiful city of
Safed for a week-long spiritual retreat. Students prepare
and present their own insightful words of Torah and engage
in deep, thought-provoking discussions. In addition,
there are guided tours that give students the opportunity
to learn about the religious history of Safed and neighboring
historical sites. Mrs. Rivka Leah Wolf, the Admissions
Coordinator, can provide more details concerning cost
before acceptance to EYAHT.
Field trips: Overnight
field trips within Israel, which include hiking and sightseeing,
are arranged from time to time.
Educational
trips: Trips to a variety of educational sites
are arranged throughout the year. Students tour Shaare
Zedek Medical Center, which is run strictly according
to Jewish law, the Museum of the Diaspora, Yad VaShem
Holocaust Museum, a mikvah, charity organizations, the
Tomb of Rachel, the Kotel, a scribe's workshop and other
places of interest.
Library:
The world of our heritage is but words away. EYAHT has a substantial
library available for education and pleasure. Students
are welcome to extend their horizons through the books
and tapes in our extensive library.
Dating
and Marriage:
Jewish tradition has a very special way of finding one's life
partner, and it is important to find the right person at the
right time. A single woman entering EYAHT has much to gain
by taking the time to learn without focusing on dating at the
outset. Rebbetzin Weinberg is available to guide each student
regarding the qualities to look for in a mate and the best
time to seek one. |
